We will leave the Greater Boston area on Monday, May 13 and arrive in the Portland area for our first night. Ideally, we'd get a good night's rest and have a quiet first night but we all know that will not happen. We expect every night to be a new party. Tuesday morning we will wake up and stop by Higgins beach. After lunch, we will explore the Fort Williams ruins and check out an iconic New England lighthouse. In the evening we will hop on a quick ferry to Peaks Island to explore its spooky abandoned fort. We'll watch the sunset while we rest on the cliffs that look over the Portland Bay. After ferrying back to land, we will enjoy Tuesday night at the Old Orchard beach carnival and party the night away in our Airbnb.
On Wednesday morning, we will leave Old Orchard Beach to drive up to Acadia National Park where we will explore Maine's most incredible forests, beaches, rivers, and canyons. The Acadia portion of our trip will include star-gazing, beach hanging, look-out looking and much more. After two days and two nights in the beautiful Acadia park, we will pack up the cars and head back to Boston.
