What are Pure World bags made out of?

Pure World bags are made out of 100% organic and sustainably sourced hemp materials. Ethically sourced by local farmers and handcrafted by the best artisans in Nepal.

What is Hemp?

Hemp (Cannabis sativa), also called industrial hemp, plant of the family Cannabaceae cultivated for its bast fiber or its edible seeds.

Hemp is sometimes confused with the cannabis plants that serve as sources of the drug marijuana and the drug preparation hashish. Although all three products contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a compound that produces psychoactive effects in humans, the variety of cannabis cultivated for hemp has only small amounts of THC relative to that grown for the production of marijuana or hashish.

Is hemp safe?

Hemp is known to be one of the most environmentally friendly and safe fabrics. Its fibers are breathable and biodegradable while also being hypoallergenic. As the cultivation process doesn’t involve harmful chemicals, hemp materials are safe to use and wear – while being kind to your skin and the environment.

Are Hemp materials legal?

Hemp fabric is legal. There is a common misconception that there are questions about the legality of the fabric. It’s legal to use hemp to produce items like clothing. The legalization of hemp in the United States has seen an increase in its production, while other countries allow its production with a license. 

Do Hemp bags smell?

Hemp canvas does not retain the smell of the plant because of its natural wicking. You do not have to worry about the smell another benefit of using hemp products is because of their natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that resist mold and mildew.

Are Hemp bags durable?

Hemp is one of the strongest and most durable of all natural textile fibers. You could say it gets better with age! According to research, hemp has a stronger tensile strength than steel. Safe to say that Pure World bags are durable.

What is the difference between hemp textiles to traditionally used materials (i.e. Polyester, Nylon, PVC, etc.)

Hemp material is stronger compared to traditional textiles and it's also sustainable and eco-friendly, unlike the traditional textiles which are produced using plastic and crude oil that sheds microplastics that contaminate our water.

How long before I receive my orders?

Expect to receive your orders in less than a week from when you placed the order. Pre-ordered items may take more time since our bags are meticulously handcrafted by the best local artisans ensuring the highest quality for our customers.

What is your return policy?

Pure World has a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
